No, the real pole is the center of axis. And the sun is not directly overhead, its over the equator or at least between the tropics. So it would travel in a odd arc.
Yes. I know where the pole is. Now simply visualize the horizontal line in the middle being the track of the sun. And drop it down to the bottom of the planet. That is the path of the sun on a 2D plane.
