I've read before that the "Sons of Satan" is a galaxy or string of galaxies away at the far edge of the universe.
That perhaps could make sense, in that people that are Satanists are far removed from Earth or humanity.
Or, perhaps their soul gets booted to the farthest reaches upon death, in an eternal struggle to return to Earth to redeem themselves. In that respect Earth acts as a sort of Midgard.
