So i wrote a similar one some days ago on conpro, i figured this may spark some interesting discussion here too.
I have been trying out the raw meat/eggs/milk diet, or better implementing it into my own one.
It seems to have been a breakthrough for me, similarly to barefoot shoes earlier this year.
Energy levels are up, libido is up, recovery is up, mood is all times high, health seems way up just from a short period.
If you want to learn why people like me try to get into this, this is a good video (if you tolerate her quirks) to get started:
There is also this guy that gave a lot of decent reasoning for its adoption.
If you want to make this as an experiment you can go with raw eggs that are very low risk if shopped organic.
3 raw eggs plus 200ml milk plus sugar or honey, shake, drink, this is now my standard brekfast (i just doubled the eggs). Tastes absolutely divine and fueled with energy.
Also in raw foodism you focus on eating organs. So not much benefit in eating raw ground or hamburgers, but rather hearts, kidneys, livers etc. And fish too.
There are also ways to decrease risk if you are uncomfortable about the meat quality, such as freezing to kill parasites, and letting soak in lemon juice to kill bacteria.
Overall it seems to me after a decent amount of time eating raw that it is just what our stomach naturally evolved to process.
There are also other ways to kill bacteria. And if you are wary of sourcing it is a very small risk.
Dogs eat raw meat for decades and almost never have problems.
I also trust my gut.
A dog's digestive tract is different from a humans too.
Both are suited.
We have been eating for much longer than fire is around.
We have been cooking food on fires for about a million years bro.
There is not evidence of million-year old camp fires, is there? Asking honestly
See, that's a hot take, one hotter than mines actually
You are not a carnivore...idiot
I am an omnivore yes.
Where does the need come to put words in my mouth?
Cooking...is the act...you are looking for
To avoid, yes
