No. I think that Battlefield Earth is an accurate depiction of the Anunnaki. They are severely flawed and did not expect humans to surpass them, but we have a divine connection that they lack.

If you believe these old legends, sumerians, greek, etc. They all seem to talk about this big war between good and evil. The whole reason it started was because some of them wanted to go home to their people, and others wanted to stay and live like gods. Some of them also looked at mankind as their sin, a tone almost to great to atone for. Seems pretty high on the karma list, creating a species only to enslave it and live like gods?

All of our creators seemed to practice some kind of blood magic, through sacrifice, but some of them outlawed it. Like Poseidon's children did. Replaced by animal sacrifices instead....
