Lol, I cant say for sure if being ruled by our creators would be any better than it is now. But it likely would be.
I think you got it wrong though. The only monsters that rule this planet, currently, are humans, sadly.
If you believe these old legends, sumerians, greek, etc. They all seem to talk about this big war between good and evil. The whole reason it started was because some of them wanted to go home to their people, and others wanted to stay and live like gods. Some of them also looked at mankind as their sin, a tone almost to great to atone for. Seems pretty high on the karma list, creating a species only to enslave it and live like gods?
Seems like after they left, mans greed filled the void, through religion and many different secret society's. Each with their own dogmas and bullshit.
It just seems pretty obvious that the current elite that rule this planet worship one of them specifically. All of our creators seemed to practice some kind of blood magic, through sacrifice, but some of them outlawed it. Like Poseidon's children did. Replaced by animal sacrifices instead.... I wouldnt doubt some of them had a taste for human flesh, if any of the tales from the native americans can be believed
For better or worse, they arent going to interfere, other than preventing us from leaving this planet. I imagine their worse fear is us spreading our sin to other places. Subjugating and destroying anything that doesnt fit into some greedy ass humans plans.
