The easiest physical observation to do is the 20 miles of water to look across that's nearby. I'm expecting to miss the first 266 feet up from the beach. If I see the beach, I'm going to laugh and go have a few beers.
Good for you. Don't forget you need a Nikon P900/P1000 telephoto camera to do this. Human vision collapses to a point at roughly 3 - 6 miles depending on how clear the atmosplane is that day. So best case scenario, which is almost never the case, is 6 miles. You have to have the telephoto lens to perform the test.
Here's Not-A-Prof Dave being skewered by Jaren Campanella (the best FE-researcher out there by far) BTW. Apparently Not-A-Prof-Dave supports the trans movement and supports chosen pronouns (like his fake "professorship") as well. I can't imagine why people believe a word that comes out of his mouth frankly.

Agreed that 'dave' is a massive reddit douche.

And here's Taboo Conspiracy talking about roughly a dozen different laser-based tests with telephoto cameras up to 21 miles. Enjoy!

Enjoy your beers. I'd buy you a round if I was in your hood.
