The vast majority of people do not think in the abstract. They don’t have independent thoughts. They don’t have any cognition whatsoever other than stimulus-response behaviors to their immediate surroundings and external stimuli. They do not introspect. They do not retrospect. They just parrot what they hear and can be easily tricked into acting a certain way based on very specific manipulation of their emotional responses.
