Electric Bus and its charging station, London 1906. Electric cars were present more than 100 years ago - all new is well forgotten old, or well hidden. ELECTRIC Cars discontinued to profit off of Petroleum. GAS car being discontinued now to profit from grid infrastructure. (gab.com)

Don't try to put EV fault on others. Oil industry are definitely not an angels, but they have absolutely nothing to do with century of EV failures.

Electric cars is a joke, for over than century. Because of that stupid, expensive, uneffective and unreliable thing named battery.

EV will never become a thing unless a new, effective, simple and reliable power source would be invented to replace a battery.

EV in whole is a good idea. It is simpliest, most efficient and very reliable car you could make today. But that stupid batteries multiply every single advantage of EV by zero.

So, yes, EV with batteries as power source is complete bullshit.

No it isn't outside of the batteries. I am sure you noticed this, today. What is first thing that breaks in the car? I am serious what is first thing that breaks in the car? The first thing that breaks in car is the electronics. Unless it crashes. At what point is an EV reliable. It like every other electronic today has no lifetime. It simply makes car manufacturers even more money. It's like the premium of mass consumption. Can people even fix electronics today. TV or phone, etc. They throw them out, and get a brand new electronic. So when car is made entirely out of this. Just get new one.

There is nothing honest, or smart about todays trend. At what point aren't people asking this.

Nevermind the fucking bullshit battery. Like even you know this, drive car, leave shit on, oops alternator can't start engine. Now EV everything on battery. Now Traffic jam. But you gotta plug them in all fucking night every night. Hahaha. How much does that cost. Battery work like phone, or lightbulb, charge depletes. Guaranteed for 7 years. Who buy car last less. They cannot even reliably guarantee it for 7 years.

Haha, she deserves it for doing her part, and paying more. All proceeds fund billionaires, and not the climate. But don't worry, you are helping the environment. I struggle to think how billionaires help the environment. Even if she believes her car is.

Such dumbasses today. Hahaha. Poor girl.

Haha, environmentally friendly billionaires. We wish. Please drive their EVs, they must really help them with something. The weather demands it. Does it? Do the things even work in the weather? No but they could if you drive them. Hahaha.

The smart electronics and gadgets in cars are unreliable, true. But electric motors are ancient technology, far simpler to build and maintain than combustion engines. The biggest problem is energy storage. No battery tech can compete with fossil fuels.

The first thing that breaks in car is the electronics

It depends on how it made. I have few youngtimers from late 1980s, and all electronics with all that microprocessors and other ICs are perfectly functional.

Today car electronics intentionally made with planned worktime. F.e. I repaired many BMW X3/X5 LED stop lights - the circuit intentionally forced to maximum current, so LED driver IC eventually broke and official dealer want you to pay for the whole new rear lights assembly. Instead, I just replace an IC with slightly more powerful $0.5 IC where lamp current is nominal, not maximum and it works forever.

So, it depends. You could easily make an elecrtronics that will last forever. Especially automotive one where you don't need all that few nanometer billion transistor gigahertz clocked superpowerful processors.

No my friend. Absolutely 100%. It doesn't matter the electronic it breaks first. Unless you count tyres, needing a refill, or an oil change. They go before the brake pads.

Electric door, seats, wipers, lights. Now in an EV the onboard computer, handling all other functions and steering, braking.

We do this with every electronic today. They don't last. Not comparatively. Less today. Much less today, since phones. Washing machines, fridges, microwaves, vacuum cleaners, mowers, ovens, every computer and TV.

You're emphatically stating the EV engine lasts longer? No. Simple proof. Okay, cars use to be exempt from road tax the older they are. What went wrong. The EV. Proof. Hahaha.

But okay look at these new cars. What is their lifetime. They go wrong much quicker, and have been doing so increasingly the more electronics fitted. Seriously. Like those exploding electric scooter things, now banned. This is your freaking EV. A mass consumption con. Sure there some models you can swear by. I struggle to think of them today. Absolutely struggle to think of reliable car that lasts former lifetimes presently.

You're emphatically stating the EV engine lasts longer?

Why not? Saw a tons of perfectly working induction motors from pre WWII era. They literally works for century. There is nothing in motor except rotor, bearings, stator winding, its core and case. There is nothing to break and in the worst case everything could be replaced or repaired in minutes. The only thing that could wear is bearings. There is no any simplier motors than electric ones. Simplicity gives reliability and ease of repair.

I agree that modern EV engine will be full of garbagewear, plastic parts, complex ECU with bloatware "for the sake of 0.1% of efficiency". But that does not mean that EV engine can't last all your life if designed correctly.

Modern ICEs are complete garbage too. Old engine could last 1M miles, modern ones demand full overhaul after 100k miles (or whatever is covered by warranty).

Electronics is the same thing. If you design it correctly, it will lasts forever. If you need it broke at desired moment, you also could do it without problems.

The problem is not in electronics, problem is in the bastards who design it so it should break as soon as warranty is over. That's all.

Why are they breaking quicker the more functions that are enabled. It doesn't matter the once reliable cars those renown manufacturers. They're simply making crap the more functionality it assumes. The EV is full of function, electrical everything, over reliability. The reliability of you could strip it down and rebuild it yourself. Gone today the more crap is fitted. Yes if you had a background perhaps you could get it to work. But the point is do you repair a flatscreen, or get a brand new one. Mass consumption. Every electronic today. They aren't made any better, they're as you say being made worse. Until that trend has turned into the EV. Please tell me if it has suddenly improved and made them into anything else. Why would it. Nope. We all need brand new cars today to beat the climate change. See.

Electronic warranty is by fact what. A battery warranty is what? There you have it.

Then the argument becomes how much more crap does it take to get it to work. You will sooner find it needs far more resource heavy production, and of course consumption, constant energy use wearing it quicker.

Funny how alcohol (ethanol), hemp, and electric cars all disappeared in the 10 years surrounding Rocanigga standard oil’s rise to complete and total dominance.

And the ability to control the movement of the population.

Don't want to take the vax? Lose your ability to drive. Forced lockdowns.

With a flip of a switch, suddenly your autonomy is gone.

EV is a crap technology that will lead to the realization that they should have done Hydrogen fuel instead. The military and super-elites like Bill Gates are using hydrogen powered hummers and ships.

profit from grid infrastructure

Guess Mr. 'Gab OP' didn't bother to read this article from California, that included this...

“electrification of the transportation sector will increase demand by around 300,000 gigawatt-hours statewide,” which would amount to doubling electricity demands.

electric cars are laughable. I understand the logic there and appreciate the effort....but it was never meant to sustain the whole planet or whole communities lol. laughable

Until fucko, electricity is more profitable. See how that works. Because it did. It wasn't viable then, need to burn more coal. Today, it's even more expensive. You bet yeah. That's because it's more profitable. Genius. If everything plugs into the same source electricity. Everything today all the stuff they didn't have then. How much more does that cost. Hahaha. Everything. So everything, somebody else, we get them everyday by the boatload, it costs more. Too right. No okay, more evs, more powerstations needed. Until it's a taxi meter. Far more profitable. How, because you bought oil at a rate. Electricity you buy how. No fixed rate. Literally per watt it costs more. Now everything, I mean even her dildo and the dog is plugged into it. How many more Watts are needed. How much more does it cost.

It has absolutely fuck all to do with anything else.

More energy more growth. Hell they just love taxing you for it.
