Right on! I really enjoyed the part about European aristocracy from 1200s-1700s!

And even though I saw about it in reading about the book before I started, I never realized that Venice and Phoenicia are so similar...
From the book, "The Canaanites, or Phoenicians, employed their command of various monopolies to gain control of the commerce of the entire Mediterranean area. Having established their bases along the shores of the Mediterranean, they found that the most centrally located headquarters for all of their operations was located on the Adriatic Sea. Here they founded the City of Venice (Phoenicia) in 466 A.D. Because of its unique location, and the dedication of the Canaanites to the pursuit of money and power, it soon became the command post of the commercial world.
My supermarket even sells "Caffe Venezia" coffee. Sounds pretty damn close to Phoenicia.

After reading about the seafaring Phoenicians I can’t help but think about the maritime admiralty law in which our court system here in the US operates. Makes you wonder…
Oh yeah, that's spot on.
Just like Bohemian Grove, likely a home away from home for them (very likely they scoured the West Coast before anyone else). But they have a lot, cause there's lots of islands.
Venice is a city of islands, no wonder they'd settle there.
When I read the book The Magus, I did a deep background read on the places in the book, and I'd wager the Greek islands were similarly controlled by the Phoenicians. Also explains the weirdness of Malta, Mafia in Silicy a lot of things.
Oh, and the antagonist in The Magus (Maurice Conchis) is quite similar to Aristotle Onassis and operates from a cruise ship from which he deploys occultic women to seduce men. All I'm saying is that you would expect that the world's largest shipping "magnate" would be Phoenician, or directly controlled by them, and would have some element of their occult religion.
Oh, and Onassis dated Maria Callas, who might be Marina Abramovic's mother.
Man, in Venice, there is only 500 Jews, and they STILL have an eruv (string around the city for Jews to "work"). Crazy.
Now you make me want to look into the old Atari game Phoenix.
