Oh yeah, that's spot on.
Just like Bohemian Grove, likely a home away from home for them (very likely they scoured the West Coast before anyone else). But they have a lot, cause there's lots of islands.
Venice is a city of islands, no wonder they'd settle there.
When I read the book The Magus, I did a deep background read on the places in the book, and I'd wager the Greek islands were similarly controlled by the Phoenicians. Also explains the weirdness of Malta, Mafia in Silicy a lot of things.
Oh, and the antagonist in The Magus (Maurice Conchis) is quite similar to Aristotle Onassis and operates from a cruise ship from which he deploys occultic women to seduce men. All I'm saying is that you would expect that the world's largest shipping "magnate" would be Phoenician, or directly controlled by them, and would have some element of their occult religion.
Oh, and Onassis dated Maria Callas, who might be Marina Abramovic's mother.
