It happened at 8:30, most people don't get to their finance jobs until around 9. Also, there are so many documentaries showing people climbing down all those flights of stairs.

I like the archaic definition. Remember it was a holiday and wasn't as packed with people as it otherwise would have been. That fact it what leads me to believe it was a planned event. If you're trying to capture the normal citizens attention, start with building 7. Once you break the cognitive dissonance you can expand upon what you believe. Focus on building 7 and building 7 alone (ceding the narrative of planes causing the damage) and when you have a true convert, lay the rest on them.

I distinctly remember a shot of people running out the front entrance that morning. It was an upward shot showing the building smoking as people ran by. I was on the west coast so it was likely a rebroadcast though.
