No creepier then escargot and caviar? Snails and fish eggs.
Bugs are creepy, snails are slimy, fish eggs are rotten.
I don't eat any of that. Tried Caviar. No. Don't like it. Don't like that kind of fish food. Same as mussels, not fond of oysters either, or a fan of octopus.
But bugs. No. There are lines. If I am starving, sure. No, I'd probably become a cannibal first.
Humans eating humans is far grosser and creepier than eating bugs. I'll eat zee bugs.
Not really. It's a matter of standards. Meat is meat. Bugs are just damn creepy. And cause chronic indigestion. Eating humans, would be simply because all the other meat eaters do. And it's biblical. Cannibalism wasn't frowned on in Ezekiel or some book, maybe Jeremiah, it even had a price on the human meat, in the seige. But the bugs didn't. Why is that. Because by the time you caught enough of them, surviving all the indigestion, you're still hungry and in need of meat. We're talking extremes here. Not a simple take away of let's have an Indian or a Chinese for dinner. There you are rustling up all the bugs, remember you're talking hundreds to survive the week, needing all the herbs and garnishes and spices, but somebody else has you on their menu. It's much easier that way. Or forget about the bugs.
