Upvoted the post, but couldn't disagree more with the title. Police are the standing army our forefathers warned us about.

Most cops should be thought of as robots, who will do exactly as their overlords program them to do. They have no critical thought or appreciation for the constitution and will not hesitate to enforce authoritarian criminal laws. Most of them are freemasons and think they are in the club, even though they are no more than guard dogs to the upper echelon.

That's what happens when you give judge dredd power to low IQ, lazy, scared individuals. You give them a gun, a badge, and the notion that they can kill and abuse anybody and get away with it.
