It is called an abortion because the procedure terminates. However there is a greater life threatening risk to the mother. Where in that situation and likewise certain others both the unborn and the mother are massively at risk of fatality. So instead of being called an abortion, where it needs a medical procedure, it should be called a miscarriage. Because the pregnancy couldn't birth. Instead of the fear factor justifying putting an end to every other pregnancy on the whims of a medical procedure.
