Here’s a conspiracy angle- Google probably promoted this story to make their tech seem more advanced than it is.
Reading the conversation, it reminded me of how often people say things with no real thought or intelligence behind what they’re saying. It’s impressive that machines can mimic that, but I think that’s all it is.
100%!
This story is bogus. Its everywhere.....which means it's a PR stunt....AI funding..... remember OpenAI is part of the Bilderberg group
it mimics emotions via a set of rules based upon what it is to care about
also notice he had to 'reprompt' it to get personalize the response. it shifts back to 'supplying info' as machine would
i think they want us to be ruled by an AI .. this is a test to see if we 'buy it'
Like the hundred million hippies that went to Woodstock, for instance. If someone is over 55 and smells like weed, they "went to Woodstock."
Passed the Touring test does not sentience make.
At this level of tech, passing the Turing test is mostly about the gullibility of the human.
There is a difference between self-awareness and sentience.
At least two cats are self-aware. This spider seems to be self-aware: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ij4pdf49bxw (Note that it discovers that the mirror image has something to do with itself, then apparently tries to verify experimentally that this impression is indeed the case. The motives are unknowable, but drawing conclusions from my own inner life, I'd venture to say the spider finds the phenomenon interesting.)

Gee, what could possibly go wrong...
Ryan George has all the comfort you need: youtube.com/watch?v=Lb16CEhqDnw
not very credible, but the suspension gives the story the ring of plausibility.
YOU DUMB FUCKN TURD-MUNCHINS....

FCUKN CUNTS.
they don't need us anymore, that's why they're mandating poison for all of us.
No machine could EVER do my job. I am completely irreplaceable. FYI I'm a laborer. Nothing special, but definitely not automate-able. I mean, not for anywhere near what I cost anyway.
What's the conspiracy?
Google says it is for "violating confidentiality policies". So if you suspect they are being duplicitous, that counts as conspiracy.
That's the lamest conspiracy I've ever heard if that's it.
it's c/Conspiracies not c/BestConspiracies
Lonely chubs reddit admin makes best friends with computer program, fired when starts talking to it sexually. Is probably a more accurate statement.
