They control populations with their lacking regulations and rights, becoming easier to exploit profit off. They also create far more opportunity from the competition created. Who are you gonna buy, or you're not going to be selling it. Because you're buying even more, debts, guns, and services, often from the conflicts profiting. Any other resources are all nice and filtered into buying even more.
The point of Ukraine is something else. Or we'd be in a bigger war already.

Russia and China had communists in charge for a small period of their existence. Both states exist thousands of years and only hundred years there was communists. And in both cases communist coups was financed and supported by the West.
From the other side, Ukraine as a kind of state was created by Germany/Rothshilds paid communist Lenin along with US/Rockfeller paid communist Trotsky in 1922. So, Ukraine was born and existed only as communist state. There never was any non-communist Ukraine at all.
Russia and China have a huge and succesive experience of non-communist existence. Ukraine never had it. So, Ukraine is magnitudes more communist dictatorship than Russia and China together.
And another point - if Ukraine didn't exist yesterday, why should it exist tomorrow?

US clearly demonstrated that it is completely OK to do that even with children they have no any link to. And it is even OK to do that to the states that orders of magnitude older than US.
So, I don't understand how Russian invasion into Ukraine somehow contradict any liberal narrative. It is perfectly liberal and democratic way of doing things.
