I have no doubt it is easier to make it longer when you consume juices and vegetable stews (your study sad (200-250kcal per day), that will prevent electrolyte deficiencies.
They also mention adverse events, but I can't look into those since it is only the abstract. It is also a study by the Buchinger people so should be held to more scrutiny.
