I actually was using that service about 8 years ago for personal transactions of low value digital goods that could be immediately delivered over the internet, it offered some security to sellers in avoiding risks related to payment reversals with PayPal. That was also a little closer to the "don't be evil" version of Google which has long since vanished but otherwise the platform had it's advantages at the time.
I've been crack drunk, but the drunk part vastly overwhelms the effects of the crack, so it's just a waste of money.
Or to say, non-FDIC insured corporate controlled banking account.
