Yawn. They went around Kharkiv. In fact they never really bothered with it. Apart from continuous bombardment. Haven't pressed into it. Apart from along the outer highway, and surrounding towns. A tactic that simply caused defense too go to ground. Cutting it off from supplying, and being resupplied. It was heavily entrenched as Ukraine's second largest city. But it has been isolated and bombarded with little relief or respite. As they moved away from it. It drew them out. Picking a few more off.

The Ukrainian entrenchment along the separatist Oblasts is crumbling. Despite these propaganda morale boosters. Or the supposed blank check of unlimited arms. Heavily bombarded by superior weaponry with little respite. As any meat grinder produces another set of fresh conscripts to causality. What are they firing back with. Not the same artillery inching forward leisurely turning tenements bunkers and trenches into putty.

Hitting any lines is becoming quite severe, rail, roads, airports, bridges, power stations, infrastructure pounded, disrupting Ukrainian sability and its ability to halt anything else.

I haven't read anything with any battle accuracy like this press. It makes erratic claims to justify arms shipments. They have to be seen to be doing something. Like holding up the enemy. Basing conjecture off of different wars. Where victory conditions were different. Unlike in Syria. While providing nothing verified apart from the Ukrainians demanding more arms, by selling Russia is losing.

I literally switch my brain off when reading reports like this. It doesn't tell that story. I find it harder gauging what that truth is. Who is it convincing. But actually look at it. Looking at it suggests that Russia can take all the time it wants. It isn't going anywhere. It's invading. Ukraine however can only lose ground. Or annihilate that invasion. It isn't. It's still attacking.
