I was told after my second child, and the removal of Merena (IUD) due to migraines that birth control would have to be the men in my life's responsibility. Not because of helplessness, but because I had just unsuccessfully gone through 3 types of birth control. Depo, pill, IUD.

I had no idea how feminist that medical decision was until over a decade later.
