A little suspicious of this SCOTUS leak. They’ve had 49 years to overturn Roe, and there have been a lot more conservative benches over the years. Could be wrong here, but I think choice vs life is being set up to dominate the airwaves until the midterms. They will use this wedge issue to ignore all the other horrible polling issues for the Dems, and they will falsely claim huge liberal turnout supporting abortion. The machines will turn red votes blue again in massive numbers. 2020 all over again.

My theory based on this thread. They're over the transpeoples.

That would be a rediculously powerful move, and might even get the left re-elected legitimately. Take away a degenerate's ability to get off, and nothing will stop them from getting their next fix. They will nuke the world if it means big daddy government will let them play with butts.
We knew their would be backlash. This isn't how I expected it.
Criticizing Lawrence is easy, Scalito did it all the time. He warned of a slippery slope and was correct.
More specifically, the issue he and Thomas had with the decision, was that social change came through the courts rather than through the elected branches. Having change come from the courts fuel the fire of court illegitimacy, and further, makes for crazed "I want it now" activists who think they are but one decision away from getting what they want.
I was reminded last night that Obama pointed this issue out, and made an empty promise to fix it.
The leak, if it's legit, is to get court packing back on the agenda, or possibly to intimidate a justice to switch a vote before the final decision is issued (it has happened before, that is, a switch).
i say we have 50 judges! no 100!! 200 is NOT enough! bah. fuck it. lets have 10 from each state!!
Yep... I think this is spot on.
They stole 2020 and we largely did nothing, no reason to not steal 2022... specially in the obvious fashion at which they took 2020.
I think you are right.
Right now they could shove through a federal pro abortion bill with control of the house of reps and the executive branch. All it would take is one Republican jumping party lines to pass the senate.
Instead the dems will milk this out as long as possible, to get votes.
