State and municipal governments won't prosecute looters
Businesses and employees are liable if they 'harm' anyone in the act of theft
More and more businesses are forced to shutdown in large Democrat controlled cities as the cost of theft makes turning a profit impossible. Large corporate retail chains are pulling out of metro areas.
In response the looters have begun targeting retail stores in suburbs.
So this is actually unconstitutional. We have the right to be secure in our persons AND our property. Stealing is an act of violence because it takes the labor ie life and livelihood.
The problem is that in order to have standing and challenge these laws, you have to subject yourself to harm from these laws. So, you are a $15/hr wage slave at Walgreens. Walgreens tells you do not interfere. You interfere, get fired, get prosecuted, and now you have standing to sue the state for their unconstitutional bullshit laws. You might not win, you might win, you are going to need about a million dollars to get it through the courts, which will all convict you, until you appeal up to the SCOTUS where you get to flip a coin.
So the employees just film it and stand back.
Walgreens closes the store and fires all the employees.
The thieves spread out to other neighborhoods where they will hopefully get shot.
Oh wait, this is California and they are a couple hundred miles from any borders.

They have a job. They're boosters. What's the street value of the stolen items?

Local laws have made it so you are only allowed to watch your fellow countrymen destroy whatever we have.
Millbrae is in the area, but is a separate city a dozen miles south of SF.
That does it. I'm definitely not voting for San Francisco now.
