Prior to the Matrix being switched on by those steampunk nazis. Destroying everything except for layering more mud into civilization, creating even bigger numbers for their energy and profit. There was a time with much better artisans than the machines doodling their emojis and rewriting all the classics and burning the books, by inserting themselves into them with even more inclusivity. A time when people built things with their hands instead of click buttons.
Hence the mythos was created and it has become another lost fantasy.

But there has clearly been a greater loss. Innovation today is a spector of what once seemingly flourished as greater culture. We can thank the mud for that. Warfare and the mass invasions of machines. Until nothing lasts, even quicker today. Regardless of there being some fuckery afoul, and it gives it an edge or hint of possibility.
But the erratic claims on opening are laughable.

Instead of focusing on mudfloods and lost kingdoms...why not question the system (energy) that would allow the growth and loss of everything within, and more importantly...ones position in it?
