Metaphorical plagues?
Because Covid is not the White Rider of pestilence, but the black rider of death.
I don't read the plagues as metaphorical. Like the "grievous sore" mentioned in the book of revelation. I think the vaccines will be bringing those.
The war is psychological here.
The vaccines are literally just there to kill 1% and provide a goalpost for the rest.
Once they all knew this is a goalpost, they will fall into despair.
