Each of these things have historical meaning, and every calendar system has tradeoffs, taking up some benefits while giving up others. "December" is properly the 10th month counting from spring, which worked until the Romans decided to count from winter. Weekdays are intended to change with reference to annual dates so that we don't get bored with cookie-cutter months but have unique expressions of the same dates each year. (All earth-sun-moon positions are based on irrational numbers to keep us guessing.) If you want to get rid of the 7-day week so that weekdays can be more predictable by month or year, that's exactly what u/AngelofDeathToo wants to do too, you should look into the pros and cons of the proposal.
I was just making a joke about the December thing there...it's more silly than anything. Still, I think one could argue that the months are rather archaic name-wise. I think if we tried to rename them now though, we'd probably end up with corporate-sponsored names like Doritober. :)
I don't have any major problems with our calendar (many minor ones maybe), but I do have a problem with NSA/CIA shill forinfren there. Lotta traitors on this board.

Oh, I've looked into this before.
12 X 30 + 5 is fine by me.
