I think there is a reason they have zombie movies, video games ad book novels. It's foreshadowing for whats to come. I think radiation and people who participated in the safe & effective shots play a role in it too but thats conjecture on my part.
I see those as almost metaphorical but I definitely see the same patterns. Instead of the more traditional zombie slowly walking around, I see those films and shows as more projection for how mentally dumb and zoned out people have become in life.
