I was a Catholic altar boy growing up.
I used to be able to recite the whole mass by heart, I did it so freakin long.
But it got me out of school (for funerals and weddings), which was one of the primary reasons I did it.
You should look up the mural from my church. Shrine of the Little Flower in Baltimore. I should do a deeper dive on it myself symbolism-wise.
Anyhow, the mural was apparently done on a gigantic single canvas from Belgium, and I don't think there's many like it anywhere.
