Dip shit author points to a map that only shows seafloor, and landmass without the ice and thinks this is proof the continent had no ice at the time the map was made? FFS. The continent has a massive ice shelf on top of that land which has been there for thousands of years.
It is entirely possible that an ice tunnel opens to a vast cave. We have huge caves on land all over the world. This is nothing conspiratorial. So maybe the Uboat discovered a cave. However, I challenge the author stating the crew said "we're not returning" like, OK, yeah let's all leave our families and put faith in a captain to do this. No fucking way. You would have a certain percent, perhaps the majority, that would reject such an idea, return to Germany and send back another u-boat with willing sailors that did not want to return. Too far-fetched to be believable, especially since all we have for evidence is some conspiracy website with hearsay upon hearsay evidence.
