I don't believe that's true. I think there's tons we can do to fight evil, probably wont stop it but it will change people and that's the point. I can think of very few tactical applications. This was a bigger thing when they were still saying UFOs were only 'conspiracy theory'. Maybe provided a plausible explanation for sightings: Oh you might have stumbled on to some Project Blue Beam test.. blah blah.
