Most had no idea that such a thing existed. Shabbos goy are like the familiars that help vampires operate during the day.

The real conversation here is that Silverman is 51 and Rogan is 39, although you could make the argument the ages seem reversed. My understanding is that observant jews can't really ask others to do stuff for them on shabbat, although if someone offers they can accept.
I don't see the point of observing such restrictions if you're just going to bend the rules. It's like the eruv thing jewish people do in Manhattan. https://www.mentalfloss.com/article/91594/theres-wire-above-manhattan-youve-probably-never-noticed

Many things they do are bizarre. They don't count anyone not born to a jewish mother as a jew. They are compelled to tell you their plans even if they deny them later.

To what extent must one be Jewish? My mom is like 1/8 Jewish LOL. Does that win me my "right of return" or whatever BS?

You need immediate family. I think even if your mother's mother's mother was a jew, it doesn't count because that's too far removed. If there's any break in that, then you definitely don't count because you need the mothers to count.

How can there be a "break"? If my mother's grandmother was half Jewish, all female descendants will be part Jewish.

I'm far more Jewish than Elizabeth Warren is Native American, that's for sure.

If the jewishness gets passed by a male, there is a break and you are not considered to be a real jew. There is a Reddit post on c/General about someone like this. The original poster is Russian with some jewish family so the jews were allowed to bring their immediate family, but the OP is not a "real jew".

I am afraid yes. If these Chinese crooks can claim a "right of return" then why not you as well?

Imagine the look on Palestinians faces when they see a Chinese wearing the kippah and pronouncing how happy he is to be back to the homeland :D

Nice video...LOL.

OP responded to me and said that my mom's grandmother being Jewish might not be enough...meanwhile...my oldest sister literally looks like Jezebel. No one else in our family has super tight telephone cord hair. Rented a house she owned and previously lived in and had to pull a clog from the tub the size of a badger. She also unsurprisingly works with Jewish people on a regular basis (Hollyweird), and I do wonder to what extent her hair alone helped her along.

I myself have the curly sideburns and weird hair by the nape of the neck.

So yeah, perhaps a little more contemporaneous than Chinese who have one Jewish ancestor a thousand years back.

Now would I want to even go to Israel in the first place...what's even funnier is I had very few coworkers at my previous job, and one now takes people on tours of "the Holy Land" and the Vatican. She's there like all the freakin' time.

I told my mom about the eruv thing, and she was floored. Same goes for "shuckling" at the Western Wall (as well as what the Wall actuallly is).

As for the rules, it still goes back to the Bible. Those rules were punishments by God to make them crazy.

Ezekiel 20:25..."Therefore aI gave them statutes that were not good, and ordinances through which they could not live."

The next verse is rather instructive too..."I let them become defiled by their gifts, by their immolation of every first-born, so as to make them an object of horror."

I cannot help but think of MANY famous people who've had younger siblings die in strange circumstances. Anderson Cooper's brother immediately jumps to mind. And of course Molech.

verse 31 sums things up pretty well..."By offering your gifts, by making your children pass through fire, you defile yourselves with all your idols even to this day. Shall I let myself be consulted by you, house of Israel? As I live! says the Lord God: I will not let myself be consulted by you."

The jews aren't allowed to work on a day by their law. Many straight up ignore it now, but they used a loophole before that and many still do. They have someone else do the work they want to do by using "goyim". Goyim are humans/non-jews that they believe are cattle to be used for work and food. The goyim they use are called "shabbos goy" because they are used for "shabbat". They are making fun of the idea that jews want control and destruction of goyim by using goyim. Their excuse for the attacks on non-jews is that they could somehow do worse if you believe other stuff they do like believe everyone is cattle, but it is true.
