Its amazing how much we rely on electricity. Plumbing and trash will be a huge deal if it goes away also. Good luck my friend, I hope none of us need it!

I once took a fire alarm off my apartment ceiling and tried to flush it down my toilet. In my CLEARLY infinite wisdom of youth. Needless to say it did not go as planned. At least i had a large bucket and plastic bags.

What? It kept beeping!

You know those round white ones? I thought it was smaller than it actually was. It did NOT fit down my porcelain pipe. It was a interesting experience though. Between living without electricity for a week last year because of a cancelled provider contract and temporarilly BIG BRAIN TIME-ing my toilet, i'd like to say that even if i very much enjoy the relative comfort that i live in, i think i could deal with less than what i have right now, and i don't have much to begin with.

And yes, i was able to fix my toilet. Just took multiple attempts. shudder Youth is a dangerous thing! But i'm glad i moved out very early!

Its a learning experience on someone elses property. The best kind! Youth is wasted on the young as they say.

We can live with less. Thats their plan for us. Own nothing and like it.
