To some extent. HCQ is close relative of quinine which is a natural alkaloid naturally occuring in many plants, african too, mainly in bark. It also used as a cure for malaria, and "bark from an indigenous tree" could be literal cure for that modern flu due to quinine presence.

I think both. But we are guilty too. We became less curious and more lazy to question everything and obtain knowledge. There is absolutely nothing special in medical knowledge, everyone have access to it today and you don't need to be a genius to know everything ordinary doctor know. Doctors know a little, really, doctors (may be except traumatologists) are the most incompetent in their profession, unlike other professionals, they have no any clue how things they try to fix really works. I was taking that at the start of all this madness! Stopped because fizzy drinks make me bloated, am using Quercetin instead now. Got my horse paste at the ready (lol that tastes like shit as well but if I hide it in a dollop of yogurt barely notice it. :)
