u/BigBadBrutus This right here. This is how most of us found out I think. The influx of new users is going to be proportional to the number of Redditors informed.
Easiest solution is to inform good r/conspiracy members mentioning this site (Reddit will probably remove direct links, so just tell them "visit conspiracies((.))win. Remove parentheses to obtain URL"). Or even better, we should inform by DM to avoid attracting bots and shills
With enough activity, we'll be noticed eventually (website rankings) and the shills and bots will come here too. The curse of popularity.
Same here. And frankly, I hope there are fewer tips on reddit despite finding it there. I don't want this place flooded with shills and bots like the cesspool of reddit.
Word. Yea I don't have a reddit account anymore cuz of how bad that place got or I'd try something similar. View any content through the np route to bypass their shitty app pop up.
We don't remove threads here, unless they're spam! Check the logs.
i think this place deserves more users
Agreed.
The good users at reddit conspiracy wont leave.
Many have, actually, but yeah, some of the legends and stalwarts have remained in the trenches.
We need more topic creators, more of an info dump, more engagament, more users, more everything.
Yes, yes and yes.
We're trying to sticky good OC whenever possible.
So then why do they have 1.5 millions subscribers and this place never took off despite the obvious wreck r/conspiracy has become?
Censorship. It came from within the /r/conspiracy mod team.
I tried to share .win when I was still on reddit, and I even stickied a link to conspiracies.win.
I was shut down by the rest of the /r/con mod team because they were afraid of the admins (which is a very generous interpretation).
Honestly, I've just been waiting until /r/conspiracy's ban and for the inevitable massive influx of users here.
The fact that it hasn't come is interesting. Granted, I'm not looking forward to the extra mod burden (my stress level since leaving reddit has gone down dramatically!) when they migrate here.
But will it ever come? Reddit is going to go down with the majority of the legacy media. I think they're keeping /r/conspiracy to save face. When the pitchforks come for them, they can say, "see, we allowed COVID skepticism (etc) on our website, don't put us against the wall!"
Too little too late.
Either reddit and /r/conspiracy drift into obscurity, or they pull another major false flag and use it to crack down on all conspiracy theorists on the "mainstream" web and shut it down.
I don't think people realize how close /r/conspiracy was to getting shut down in January.
When you have a sitting Congresswoman denounce "reddit conspiracies" less than 24 hours after a "violent insurrection", you simply don't get worse PR and reddit acted FAST.
By removing the "head mod" of /r/conspiracy, they could generate the necessary MSM articles to show that "they acted" and removed the "problem."
Again...this is just an observation and not self-congratulatory...but if there wasn't a high-profile "problem" mod running /r/conspiracy to put the "blame" on, they likely would've nuked the entire sub.
It was either /r/conspiracy itself, or the top mod. Someone had to go, and I took the fall.
I'm not tripping. This stuff will come out eventually.
For now, you ask some really valid questions.
I think some people aren't coming here for partisan reasons...they still associate ".win" with Trump and thedonald.
Fortunately, huge swathes of people are waking up to the fact that it's NOT about left vs right, it's us vs them.
And we're winning. That's why they're so desperate. It's always darkest before dawn.
Thanks for this thread. You're a legend for being here.
r/conspiracy generally grew during major happenings, especially where people couldn't discuss the happening freely on other subs. Epstein not killing himself was a big one in recent memory.
The big event that spurred the creation of this place was the 2020 Election fraud, which could not be freely discussed even on r/conspiracy.
So some major & controversial happening could bring more people here. Also people need to realize here is far freer a forum than r/conspiracy is in general.
People are becoming sick of reddit, they are coming here, in dribs and drabs, but they are coming. Someone posted a thread here yesterday from reddit (that eventually got nuked and the OP banned) of the infamous graphic showing the crazy amount of Jewish people working in the MSM. Every comment was positive, 400 upvotes, most acknowledging that reddit is sucking more and more.
Having said all that, many are simply addicted to reddit's interface and various other subs, and since this website still under construction and lacking many features that reddit has, they prefer to stay in the comfort zone.
As to info dump - check our side bar, we have a booklist (with links to every book) which r/conspiracy never had :)
I told a bunch of anti-vax 4channer type of people about the .win and they instantly called it a reddit clone and my convo there resembled a "UFO political wing".
Most of use started on The Donald, but many guys are awake to the fact politics is fake and Trump isnt your savior, so the based guys find this place on the sidebar.
At a critical moment to grow this platform because Reddit had just censored and banned a lot of people, it was loaded with shill retards derailing every conversation. Magapede69, minuet/prelude/serenade/etc and a few others had free reign to distract and derail in the beginning. I get that the mods didn't want to follow the same path as Reddit but it was so ridiculous here I quit coming for months and never mentioned this place to anyone
Censorship of links on other major sites Google, FB, YT, Twitter, Reddit, etc. Lack of interest in Jab talk (anonymous forums are being used as news workarounds because of censorship). Probability of dot win domain being taken down. Tendency of experts to focus on personal sites and empire building instead of free forums.
I came from reddit too after the whole election Axo controversy. Wanted to see what was up. People here are generally great but I do occasionally have users jumping down my throat and calling me a shill which honestly probably is part of why turn out is low. I like to keep an open mind but some topics just aren't up for healthy debate on here, you fall in line or get called a shill. Still prefer it to reddit Axo uses a light hand and I never see anything get removed that's not obvious spam, that's good enough in these times I suppose.
Honestly my opinion the content quality is low and the shill quantity is high.
A much better conspiracy forum is stolenhistory.net
There they do have a no derailing a post rule, where essentially if you make a post about "flat earth", if you comment in and it is not on topic or if you are derailing/shilling you will get deleted/ possibly kicked.
The same would apply to a "flat earth is a psyop" post.
Simple: You can't easily find it, I only found it through a tip off from someone on Reddit.

I'd only heard about it once Voat was shutting down.
Same here. And frankly, I hope there are fewer tips on reddit despite finding it there. I don't want this place flooded with shills and bots like the cesspool of reddit.
Well then go there, find the diamonds in the rough who make good posts, and dm them about this place

Quality > quantity
That's the draw. Plus brain pans are stronger here. Reminds me of voat.
.win isn't easily findable, and even people who do will dismiss all of us as schizoid UFO political wingers.
I told a bunch of anti-vax 4channer type of people about the .win and they instantly called it a reddit clone and my convo there resembled a "UFO political wing".
It's my private Discord. If it were anyone else I fear I'll be banned on sight,
Most of use started on The Donald, but many guys are awake to the fact politics is fake and Trump isnt your savior, so the based guys find this place on the sidebar.
No lack of threads being made here, I count over 70 new threads stared in the last 24 hours.

Yeah I didn't mean you in particular should do it, just what we need to do in general.

Either post on topic or begone essentially.
