there does seem to be some "universal" rules out there, parameters that cant be broken. in a universe created out of random chaos (which spawned from nothing) how can we have establish rules that cannot be broken? rules, laws, or anything of that nature are byproducts of design.
but see if thats the case there has to be some form of intelligence to create the design. this is where i have problems with it all through.
if everything was created by some almighty being why would they allow such evil to happen? (I know various religions have an answer for this IE we have the freedom to choose weither we sin or not, god works in mysterious ways, thru adversity we will prosper ect.)
but i cant help but feel its like we were created but what happens to us ultimately doesn't matter. Like the creator is oblivious to us.
the closest thing i could compare this to be would be a farmer, he created the fields, tends the farms as whole and keeps the entire thing functioning.. but creatures who take up residents in farm (mircobes, incects, rodents) are just undesired byproducts of a larger system they cant comprehend
could that be us?
True Christianity isn't a mass religion. Christianity gets consistently hijacked with different clothing during different ages. At the end of the day we are spiritual beings, God is the creator of the Universe, dwelt among us, was crucified for our sins (as the thousands of years of prophets predicted, like a lamb*), was buried, and rose again.
The wages of sin is death, the only way you are forgiven is through the path of redemption God has provided us.
Mass religion means nothing, your soul condition means everything
Image you are a angel / spirit of light/ a holy being, and somebody had a club where you can have a devilish great time.. you would get a carnal body so you can sleep with all the women you want, take drugs to feel as good as it gets and sin all you want.. without a penalty... and the entry is „free“
But of course it isnt...because the owner of the club is Lucifer.. the father of lies.. what he take as payment is your divine soul... And the club of course is the place we call the earth
And the sin everybody is guilty of is treason against our Father in heaven. And the wages of sin is death..
But since he loves us so much he sent his only begotten son in there, the only one who's able to pay for our sins and redeem us back to heaven so we will not perish...
But to not perish you have to accept the gift by actually believing in the son of God and his payment on the cross.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1Joh1:9)
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom3:23)
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom6:23)
Thats why we are here.. because we choose licentious freedom over legitimate freedom ...
We chose to sin and God accepted this decision.. but that meant living a “live” appart from God at a place ruled by Lucifer. Thats why Lucifer offered Jesus control over the World if he agreed to worship him.. because it was his to give.
Again, the devil took him (Jesus) to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their spledor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me”. (Matt4:8-9)
I hope this helps, much love <3
If existence was a utopia, everything would be meaningless. Your question reminds me of a quote from JRR Tolkiens works which are a sort of allegory for Christianity. Eru Iluvatar (God) is speaking to Melkor (Satan), because Melkor just introduced his own corrupting themes to the song of creation, which will be manifested.
"Then Ilúvatar spoke, and he said: 'Mighty are the Ainur (Angels), and mightiest among them is Melkor(Satan); but that he may know, and all the Ainur, that I am Ilúvatar(God), those things that ye have sung, I will show them forth, that ye may see what ye have done. And thou, Melkor, shalt see that no theme may be played that hath not its uttermost source in me, nor can any alter the music in my despite. For he that attempteth this shall prove but mine instrument in the devising of things more wonderful, which he himself hath not imagined."
This quote always made sense to me why God would allow his creation to have good and evil.
Its not at all about a religion, its about a personal relationship with God through our savior Jesus Christ. Does it make perfect sense to our simple minds, nope, but it makes perfect connection with our spirit and in our souls. Are we supposed to be able to understand it perfectly with our carnal minds? Nope again we never will and our constant attempts only frustrate and depress us. This is where we have to finally surrender our will and accept it all on faith. I am a man who grew up in about an abismal set of circumstances as possible to survive. Period.. When a young boy grows up in a war zone fighting for his survival each day surrender is not an option. These things are beyond conviction, these survival mechanisms formed become who you are. So you survive, but you never know what it actually feels like to live. It keeps you breathing but thats all, and unless something changes you realize finally that is as good as it will ever get. And it isnt near good enough , someday you must lay down the sword because the one you are using it on are the ones you love. The enemies are only in your mind but your habits are imbedded in your heart. Surrender is the only option left and it will require every drop of courage you have ever had. But it works, thats all i can tell is that it works. God is real, he loves me and he loves you. Does it make sense? No it does not, but it works and at some point a person has to do what works. Is what you are doing working for you? Do you have peace? Joy? Do you care? I think that you do. Try faith, what do really have to lose ?
If we were the rodents, we wouldn't know the rules.
Let's say you make a cosmos. Do you make a single planet with life? What about a single planet with intelligent life? If this is your aim, why create the universe as a whole? Surely a single star system would be the most you'd have to put into it (if not just a single world floating on the ether).
We were made in His image and, after tending the garden, we were released. He went to tend other crops and gardens.
You can either go down the hole of Revelatuon and say He's coming back to rain bitter retribution, or you can say that we should live by the basic rules set out for us - before humanity cluttered things up.
Whether you decide that belief is warranted or not, those basic rules of individualism, brotherly companionship, and doing unto others is hard to dismiss as a useful and, at least for humans in general, an apt moral code to guide us.
Take the God pill, friend and embrace the truth that is waiting for you.
We don't have the ability to NOT sin. Since the fall in the garden of eden, we have been sinful beings. God created us in his image.
can god sin?
I see what you did there.....but no, God cannot sin
It's known as Baal/Yahweh/the Demiurge.
The "God worshiping people" from Canaan had been infiltrating and destroying entire civilizations and making sacrificial vats from them for the sake of tributes for the Demiurge.
The universe is order and disorder. Bringing order to a system brings disorder to the surroundings. It's action and reaction, although the magnitude and distance for an action can be so far that you don't even see it or know about it.
