I knew a guy who worked as an investigator in California. His job was to report on domestic eco-terror attacks on the power grid. Their method of operation was to bomb remote power lines that transported electricity long distances. They kept the public from finding out by lying to the news media. The cover story was that the blackouts were caused by the power stations not having enough capacity.

I'm curious what type of wire they used. A regular copper wire would just melt like a lightbulb and cause almost no damage. Anything bigger would not be able to be lifted by the drone.
