I'm going through the Tibetan Book of Living and Dying right now; and they use breathing as inspiration to regain balance between need and want. It focuses on need; while keeping the tempting wants at bay for a moment(um).

Life represents temporary resistance to ongoing velocity. It's not a win vs loss situation; but a growth/loss balance. Falling for temptation (want over need) doesn't represent defeat; since you're still balancing by choice for the sustenance of life.
