Probably leaves a bunch of plastic or synthetic microparticles everywhere.
Have suspected similar for the synthetic foam mattresses and pillows out everywhere, usually w/ promise of internet fulfillment in small boxes; what material do they use and does it offgas while one sleeps on it.

Wait people used real sea sponges to wash dishes? I've always been disgusted by modern sponges,I want a real one now

I'll just use whatever gets my dishes the most clean. I don't think sponges are a major source of chemical contamination. After all we rinse off our dishes after scrubbing them with the sponge.

Right but when you rinse the micro particles down the drain they go into the environment/ water/animals and eventually back to us.
