Why do they stick that large plasters over jab? As far as I remember from childhood, jabs of vaccines or medicines never need any plasters ever. Even soviet needles was too thin to leave any noticeable wound that will need a plaster to cover. It always was enough just to hold a cotton wool soaked in alcohol for a minute in case of bleeding if any, and that's all.
As for that "mom", selling children by their parents was not rare thing in Middle Ages. Or sacrificing them to some gods earlier. There is no enough information in that tweet to determine is it a kind of business for that mom or necessary sacrifice, say to enshure own promotion in medical circles. Who knows how it arranged now among them, things are changing fast now.
There was white sticky tape in rolls and white band-aids with green tissue at center in 8x10cm sheets (лейкопластырь бактерицидный) for 7 kopecks and you need to use scissors to cut necessary width from that sheet. In every farmacy of USSR without limitations. There was no problem with band-aids in sovok.
they fucking pulled my adenoids out without any anesthesia when i was 6
And don't even recall stomatology! That was awful torture.
USSR medicine was not great, but there never was any problems with band-aids.
but they never put it on your arm after any shorts
I think that it was because nobody thought that it was necessary. I personally use band-aids only for bleeding accidental cuts, if there are no useable cyanoacrylate superglue around. Never used band-aids to cover punctures from nails/screws/etc. It is just unnecessary. That is why a numerous pictures with band-aids over that covid jabs looks very strange for me.
