So the pandemic allegedly started in China. Daily cases basically plunged in a country of a billion people, to almost zero. Meanwhile the whole of the west is in a cycle of brutal lockdowns.
What I was getting at was the possibility of engineering a virus with symptoms that are more deadly for overweight people as a way of inflicting a higher death toll elsewhere than in China. I am aware that the obesity rate in China is rising, but I would be shocked if it was anywhere close to the United States.
That's a good point, but I think the obesity (which I think is actually classified as a co-morbidity) leads to a higher death toll rather than rate of infection.
Also, I'm not trying to say that they can wipe out obesity with this--just inflict a higher death rate on places with a higher obesity rates (and other health issues caused by lifestyle) while suffering less collateral damage.
Be careful. China outright lies in connection with any politically important information it releases. COVID-19 whistleblowers have been executed over there.
And China is being purported in the mainstream media as a perfect model for many things because the super rich think they and their descendants would live better--with a lower chance of ever losing their elite status--if there was a global dictatorship.

The virus is only interested in spreading communism, and in China they are already communist, so the virus cleared out of there pretty quick.

They are safer because there aren't nearly as many obese people in China.
I don't see the connection with the outbreaks.
