"America is still a nation that [...] sent a brave young man from Ohio [pause...] to a [pause...] PLANT! You know who it is, the stars and stripes on the face of the moon, you know who it is"
He couldn't bring himself to say what the teleprompter said because he knows it's not true.
Huh? I'm not sure what your comment is supposed to mean.
My point is clearly he was supposed to say "that young man from Ohio who planted the American flag on the moon" -- but he paused and made sure not to say it
It means he is that 1 person who down voted you, and he wants you to stop thinking.
Well that doesn't seem very nice at all!
But I could be jumping to conclusion I'll admit. Did you find anything strange about that part of Trump's speech?
I'm going to be honest. I only watch highlight clips, and read things from people such as yourself who do watch the speeches.
I wouldn't even classify myself as a conservative, religious or a Trump supporter.
Though I do find your theory interesting. A refusal on his part to speak falsehoods, especially ones widely accepted, makes for a trustworthy representative and leader.
I noticed it too. The phrasing was strange.
He couldn’t remember the name of Neil Armstrong.
The only subtext to this situation is embarrassment.
That's possible also, but why did he stop reading the teleprompter and change the phrase so deliberately?Sent a man to a plant?
Agreed with you here. Teleprompters sometimes don't advance correctly, so he lost his place in the speech and was stalling for time with the "do you know who it is?" routine until he could resume with "There is no mountain we cannot climb!"
That’s really all this is.
And I believe that some, not all, but some of the people that post these “conspiracies” are just looking to distract people.
There are real, legitimate issues people should be looking into.
IMO, this isn’t it.
