They heavily promoted hand sanitizer on local media outlets where I live. They just say what they are told to say.
The reason they did this is because using hand sanitizer can reduce bacterial illness and therefore sick leave from work.
They can say something to the effect of "Protect yourself against Coronavirus. Use hand sanitizer." Do you see how they did not say that hand sanitizer has anything to do with protecting yourself against Coronavirus?
That's interesting. I do work at large companies that explicitly require using hand sanitizer in order to reduce production delays due to sick leave. They are very influential. For example, they tell the local government which roads to fix first so as to avoid damaging sensitive equipment during truck transport. It is plausible to me that employers are behind propaganda efforts aimed at workers regardless of the American FDA.
Hand sanitizer is also ubiquitous in hospitals and clinics where I live. Are they really spending money on something that has no basis in science? These healthcare workers are using it to justify washing their hands less frequently.
Theres something special in it.
See the movie Metropia.

According the the FDA there is no proof of that, as shown in paragraph 3 of the picture I posted.

Here's the sauce, not that the normies will listen regardless.
