Wood prices and steel prices are NOT coming back down anytime soon, because they are closer to their true value in our now worthless dollar. Everything else has to come up, and they want a boogieman to blame it only.

Seriously though, about the shortages, the combination of government welfare efforts disinclining workers to apply for jobs, and the masks, will continue to keep worker shortages going and hence supplies production down.
