He allowed Fauci and Birx along with a heavily politicized CDC to fear-monger our country into shutdown. I think they were surprised he didn't push back. Their play seems to have been that when he did push back they would cry and fear-monger that he was killing people...which they did anyway. This allowed them to then win on 2 fronts instead of one. It allowed them to blame him for the now failing economy. He handed them a double victory. Arrogance.
Enboldened by that success the deepstate went ahead with their riots. They knew he would have to crush those brutally. If he had crushed them I believe he would have been seen as a hero. I think the DS showed how much they are out of touch here. They believed Americans would have been appalled by the use of force. I believe the exact opposite is true. At any rate, it is hard for the most strident Trump supporter to vote for the man after your business is burnt to the ground. In the end this was another double victory.
Instead of draining the swamp he hired it. He chose Wray, he allowed Rosenstein to stay, he hired Barr, etc. He allowed the DS multiple victories there. Arrogance.
Now the DS is playing with a windfall of house money. Hell, the people of this country had meekly allowed their liberties to be stripped, their cities to be burned, and their families to be terrorized by often armed insurrectionists, why not go for broke and blatently commit the biggest election fraud in this country's history. This gave McConnel/Pelosi what they needed to finish him. Yeah, he was acquitted a second time...acquited all the way to Florida where he remains in his acquittal.
