Polish here.Are you fucking kidding me ? The same story, the difference is almost nobody have fucking guns (only gunpowder replicas of guns existing to 1885 are not registered for now,but majority don't used even those possibility to arm themselves).

Let me explain you something I explained somewhere else:

Law and Justice party (PiS) plays conservative so well even president Trump was probably fooled. The devil is in the details however. Literally.

They (PiS) are our versions of RINOs. They support in fact many socialist policies. There were major crisis in ruling coalition because of party leader (whose public secret is he is probably homosexual) turned too much left forbidding to exist fur business, forbidding circuses, and giving much more regulations allowing for example "protecting animals" leftist activists to enter private property even without police (our home isn't our castle unfortunately). They proved themselves many times to behave like mafia,and they have obvious connections to organised crime. There were even gossip article (written by the left-wing newspaper owned by former spokesman of communist party - but anyway possible) claiming that former speaker of sejm Kuchciński (removed officially because of using plane travels at the cost of the state for personal purposes) has sex with 15 year old ukrainian prostitute and all was filmed by Ukrainian mafia. Nothing proven however,because criminal who was planning to confess about that "committed suicide" in prison.Not he first commit such "suicide" in this country...

Under "covid" regime they were forbidding last year visiting forests (WTF), they cancelled Easter and Christmas (will cancel Easter again probably), they canceled also tradition of visiting commentaries on 11/1 and 11/2 just hours before those day come (earlier they were suggesting it will not be forbidden) causing chaos and causing serious havoc for small business owners selling flowers and grave candles for this day who were left with products nobody would be able to buy !

Now they are unlawfully prosecuting for example restaurants owners sending police to harass them and their clients or confiscating cash registers necessary for business because of tax law (simply - they will take cash register and if it will be open they would be able to arrest for not having cash register...) All is done unlawfully,but as police is not dependent of citizens but controlled by the state officials - those policemans are forced by their superiors to commit those crimes ! All things they do are highly unconstitutional,as it is done by executive orders without state of national emergency (they don't declared it because they don't want to pay compensations). On 20 march they promise something they call "polish new deal" looking like much populist promises - and full turn into socialism. Will see what it will be.

The problem is the leftist opposition is much,much worse. While PiS is like RINO traitors - If left will get into power it would be like rule of AOC + Harris + Omar + antifa activists in power altogether.

After those affair with fur business to keep coalition intact PiS used their control over courts (political takeover,earlier courts were dependent of will of politicians from the left too,only cared about appearing independent ) in to ban abortion-allowing in case of disabled children. Result was however - and is - rabid left attacking churches (!!!) Luckily they are minority and they know they would be punished if they set anything on fire, so only vandalism like spraying but...

And left openly declare they want to "vaccinate" by force everybody,and allow deviants get into schools (to get the kids !), they want open our country for islamist "refugees" openly (Law and Justice party opened it for Ukrainians being for us same like Mexicans are for you - it is over 1 fucking million of them in 40 million citizen country - but at least they not cut our throats and not blow themselves on the streets what islamists could do), install cancel culture and censorship on the full scale - if they would get into power it would be real hell...

The thing is too - working against average citizens PiS vote the same like the left calling themselves "opposition".

The problem within my nation is unfortunately that many boomers have sentiments to socialism and there are many people who would like/like money "for free". Simply society spoiled by socialism, which in fact shall still have many lessons about democracy.Many of us are anticommunists hating socialism and understanding more than westerners all its disadvantages,but there are lazy idiots wanting things "for free" too like everywhere,and some "politically correct" youth from middle class which because of "posing to be more western and progressive" embrace leftism too...

In comparison to the western europe - yes,our country is luckily still trying to keep conservative values and avoid marxist plague.But it is not so good. Wouldn't say Czech Republic is safe from socialism,but despite being more secular and less conservative they at least have some guns and their laws are more gun-friendly. Why I am about guns so much ? It is about treating citizen as citizen not as serf. Majority of officials have tendency to treat us - citizens almost like serfs.

Thing I not mention in the quotes - they openly are not abidding the law they create ! Both law and justice party and "opposition". And there are more than dozens examples,that those who were against political elites "commit suicides on fridays", "have accidents" and so on. If I as citizen would do small misdeed guess what would happen but they... Even if they get caught red-handed no arrest,no dismissal (at least until it seems whole country would protest), nothing.
