To protect self within a coexisting habitat, from which they continue to instinctively adhere to need over want (self sustenance within motion). A prey does not hold animosity towards the predator, for they're in balance with each other; they're defined by each others coexistence.
but a human with some faith can stand in the face of a perceived danger resisting the fight or flight response and create alternative responses based on the situation.
Faith is the fight. When one acts on belief, he proclaims through the consequences of his actions that he is a believer...unlike all other ones who do not consent to the same belief. And where does faith; belief, submission, consent originate from? From another one making an offer to which we consent by free will of choice; by our own sole authority over self, while ignoring that ALL is offering ALL information to make choices about...not another ONE.
To believe represents to ignore reality for it, which means to alternatives you come up with, will be within fiction, under the control of those who offered you the belief, the ones you consented to by believing them. What you believe is totally irrelevant to this contract of belief; this offer meets consent by free will under the laws of nature. How does the other one made the offer? By his free will of choice, which is what you're really consenting to, while believing it's the belief (idol) itself, and once you do, the other one can then act in the name of the idol to define your beliefs at his free will of choice.
Are humans the only ones who are capable of overcoming fear and not being ruled by it?
Fear originates within death, and death represents that which will be to that which is (life). How did they trick us to ignore that which is (life) for that which might be, while utilizing the fear (and hope) associated with that which will be?
They tricked us to ignore motion for "time" aka the measurement of motion, and they managed to get us to consent to past, present and future as affixed states, within a reality based on constant motion. It is our belief in the so called "future" (an idol) that allows them to act in the name of the future, to offer us hope (religion) and fear (msm) so that we stay ignorant of the need for adaptation within constant motion.
Hope and fear are both based on ones choice to ignore all, which makes them mental traumas we uphold as beliefs, same with the so called past causing self inflicted loss, and the so called present utilizing loss, hope and fear combined to create stress, which just so happens to be a dangerous corruption of self.
