These types of posts are entertaining to read, but for the past year or so I've stuck to an "I'll believe it when I see it" attitude with this stuff. I like to base my deductions on data points I can actually observe and point to.
I can see backroom meetings about the insurrection act, with the generals saying "depends". But I largely agree. Ike pegged this shit properly in the 1950s with his warning about the Military Industrial Complex.
Just be glad that the military resisted calls to come in on the 6th, and to "purge" republicans who were part of the surge op on the 20th.
