Mitch McConnell "sent word over to the White House: if you pardon Julian Assange, we are much more likely to convict you in an impeachment trial." (nitter.net)

And? Can't impeach someone who isn't president. It's not constitutional... although that doesn't seem to matter anymore. Just do it. They are going to destroy you and your family for eternity. Think barron will ever go to college? Nah they look him up first.

It's actually a tricky constitutional question where, no surprise, lawyers come down on both sides on whether you can impeach a president who is no longer in office. Given that the Dems don't give a fuck about the constitution, they will do what they want. As for the Senate, I predict a Republican dodge and no trial.

He is already impeached.

The next step is the Senate investigation but the impeachment already happened.

Yea, I know, but the House doesn't tell the Senate what to do. The Senate's "trial" could be a five minute procedural vote and the all go to lunch.

Really? How could you impeach someone who is no longer in office?

He has already been impeached.

What is missing is the senate trial. He does not have to be president for that.

Also, impeachments are not only for presidents.
