Most "physics" today is just math with theories attached and no good explanation of the physical mechanisms behind it. It's all junk.
Check out Bgaede on youtube, he offers his own Rope Theory. His channel is terrible for explaining his theory though, most videos are him talking shit about famous mathematicians. But you can find one on a subject like magnetism, electrity etc and he explains it.
Ah, the great debate between Idealism v. Materialism. Dark matter would be just another chapter in the Materialism Doctrine/Dogma. Theory backed by theory back by theory back by theory adhering to the concept of the Dogma -> Materialism.
After all the rabbit holes I've been down, I've come to the conclusion that there are just some things humans are not meant to understand (or overstand - more important if you know the meaning(s)). Tis' not the point of this "experience".
Look into quantized inertia. This is a theory that gets rid of the need for "dark matter", which i agree is junk science. Quantized inertia is still in the early stages of vetting, but predicts the effects measured in EM drives, as well as explains why galaxies are larger than expected with relativity (one observation dark matter is used to explain)
We are able to observe effects we cannot explain so it’s a way to describe the unknown... but imo it’s probably wrong since it’s pretty much a guess that makes some math work better.

Yes.
Heliocentric astronomy is junk science.
Dark matter, black holes, red giants, brown dwarfs etc are all just theoretical ideas that can't be proven to exist.
I love that quote.
Isn't dark matter just the shit we can't see that's between matter we can see? So dark matter is just empty space?
That's us getting tricked to believe "nothing" exists, when existence is defined as being in existence.

Just my two cents.

dark matter
D'ARK, adjective - Destitute of light; obscure; that which prevents vision.
MAT'TER, noun [Latin materia; Heb. to measure; Latin metior.] - that which is visible or tangible.
It's a contradiction in terms; talmudic reasoning applied to belief (fiction) based conflicts, to keep them going while ignoring adherence to reality.
God.

Yeah, it's all a guess to explain why the math works. People think most of these theories are facts, it's disgusting
