SolarWinds at center of massive US government hack MSM and big tech is trying to blame Russia, because they are the propaganda arm of the CCP, but anyone with a brain knows China is behind the hack.

I was trying to figure out why they're blaming Russia. It looks like it started with the Washington Post and more anonymous sources.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/russian-government-spies-are-behind-a-broad-hacking-campaign-that-has-breached-us-agencies-and-a-top-cyber-firm/2020/12/13/d5a53b88-3d7d-11eb-9453-fc36ba051781_story.html

"The Russian hackers, known by the nicknames APT29 or Cozy Bear, are part of that nation’s foreign intelligence service, the SVR, and they breached email systems in some cases, said the people familiar with the intrusions, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter. The same Russian group hacked the State Department and the White House email servers during the Obama administration."

"The Russian Embassy in Washington on Sunday called the reports of Russian hacking “baseless.” In a statement on Facebook it said, “attacks in the information space contradict” Russian foreign policy and national interests. “Russia does not conduct offensive operations” in the cyber domain."

FedGov employee here. Everyone is being texted on their personal numbers to not log into any government Microsoft systems. No email, VPN, MS Teams, everything.

Same here - interestingly we also just purchased SolarWinds active directory management tool after they offered a substantially lowered price. It's already hooked into all our systems - I think the enterprise manager is shitting himself atm.

I guarantee China owns numerous other green scam corporations in order to facilitate even greater amounts of control upon the energy grid, since that is where the energy grid is going under the direction of "green" progressives...

Hint: It is not solar; it is actually biomass... Solar doesn't generate shit!!!

Holy hell, these systems interface with SNMP and are able to see and manage entire network systems. I wonder how much of the Software Defined Networking applications are compromised? Cisco is pushing SDN hard now and just started pushing the DevNet certifications. It's all about APIs now, so you know that shit is compromised. I know a lot of people that use Solarwind Terminal Emulation with Super Putty including me for SSH management. You know they're in the Open Source Linux world. FML

Some of the reports and/or "Experts" are saying this hack has been ongoing for 6 months!? Can anybody with some Cybersecurity chops confirm this, and give us a shorthand version of what it could mean? Not trying to add alarmism to this situation, but should users of any online banks/services like PayPal/Venmo be more concerned than others? Time to unlink accounts and gtfo, or what?

Knowingly is exactly the issue. Technology is so vast and interwoven these days that we'll never know what exactly we're using, we need more transparency laws on this.

The vulnerability is only if you use the Orion monitoring software.

Solarwinds has a ton of products.

So the next step would be finding out who uses Orion, not claiming every single Solarwinds client is compromised, which is dumb boomer shit.

I guess that's why they deleted their customers page.

Everyone loves a good witch hunt. I mean my last company used solarwinds products, never Orion. Would be pretty shitty to be targeted as "insecure".

Well yeah, I understand, but I was just simplifying it. I've actually been a sys admin for the past 11 years.

Point is they can't achieve the same thing with other software.

Someone on the main conspiracy site has been pushing that Dominion and Solarwinds are partners now and this affected the vote because of SERV-U login page that Dominion has on their site.

Fucking dumbass Flynn says the "US Solarwinds Product", he probably doesn't even realize they have like 100 products, and he's trying to link it to the voter fraud as well, when there's ZERO link for the time being. The fucking voting machines aren't running fucking Orion network software.

No problem, was just clarifying. The malware was able to be inserted through a vulnerability, that's the gist of the matter, and it's only capable in Orion.
