Don't count out any methods, but the vaxx won't help protect against future diseases. It may actually harm your ability to fight off these diseases. Nature tends to trump human hubris in the end.
It is concerning that there could be lethal diseases spread intentionally, which would add to the current confusion. This is the danger of locking down like we have, actually - it means that we are easier targets for these things.
